About

Born in 1957, Didier Cameau began his professional life before the age of 16 as an apprentice to a florist specializing in geraniums and chrysanthemums. After a short period working for a florist, he spent several years as a municipal gardener in the town of Villejuif. Not wishing to remain a civil servant, he then launched himself into the mobile chip shop business. This short-lived venture was not a success, and he went on to work as a courier for a year. Finally, he entered the emerging field of microcomputing with Apple, where he remained for more than 25 years. Together with his partners, he founded two companies, Computer Bench and 2eme-Génération, before turning his attention to writing novels.
Welcome to this site dedicated to my publications.
At what point can you consider yourself an author?
When my first novel was published, I realized how much of a virgin forest I was surrounded by. You find yourself alone in this unfamiliar environment. However, the feedback from the first readers was good and encouraged me to repeat the experience.
So, at the end of 2025, I published my second novel. But since I don't like to fit into a mold, I moved away from the world of thrillers, which “Seul face à moi-même” was steeped in, to enter a new universe.
Ombre “Elle” recounts the few years in the life of a 16-year-old runaway accompanied and helped by his shadow, which comes to life. You will discover his social rise, his sexual development, his first travels and discoveries, and the parallel life of the shadows, who are the true masters of the world.
Happy reading, everyone.
